Helston Relay for Life
Funds raised through Relay For Life will support life-saving cancer research. We’re here to help you with your fundraising. Relay For Life brings you and your community together to beat cancer sooner. Fundraise as a team throughout the year, then join your local community at a 24-hour event to celebrate your fundraising achievements, while taking turns to walk around a track.
Helston Boating Lake
Relay for Life
It is with regret that the Helston Relay for Life committee has decided, because of the coronavirus pandemic, to postpone our first ever event until June 2021 (exact date to follow). Teams will not need to re-register and fundraising which has already been done will be counted towards next year’s event, which will be all the more special because of the trials we are all facing this year! Hang on in there folks and keep watching here and on facebook for more information.
Teams can still sign up and start their fundraising journey. Here is the link to our official team page.
As well as the relay of the lake, there will be a Candle of Hope ceremony – anyone who knows anyone who has been affected by cancer can dedicate a candle which will be used to light the perimeter of the lake. For more information and to buy a candle, go to the dedicated facebook page here.
We’d love to hear from you if you have any questions or queries about anything related to the work we’re doing or the Helston Relay for Life. Please get in touch with us via email on firstname.lastname@example.org.

Chair, Helston Relay for Life
Long-term resident of Helston and like many, touched by cancer through close friends and family members. I am honoured to be Chair of Helston Relay for Life, looking forward to supporting teams raise funds for Cancer Research and contribute to the excellent work already being done by this great charity.
Joint Team Chair
Like so many, I have friends and family affected by cancer. Along with Roz, we are the primary link with teams. Our role involves recruitment, encouragement and guidance of volunteer teams. This is a very exciting event and we are encouraging teams of all ages and abilities to join us. Let’s make a difference!
I am a cancer survivor myself and am really excited to help organise something special for fellow survivors at the Helston Relay for Life event. By volunteering with Cancer Research, I feel I am giving something back by fundraising for a cause that is close to my heart.
Fundraising should be fun! Some ideas include, pamper days, sponsored silence, afternoon tea and beard shaving! Click the button below to see many more ideas.
